n We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse for a Cardiac Stepdown travel nursing assignment in Lynchburg, Virginia . This 20-week opportunity offers a supportive, team-focused environment caring for a diverse patient population with med-surg, telemetry, cardiac IMCU, neuro, and CVA acuity. Job Requirements
n Active Registered Nurse license in Virginia or a compact license eligible upon startn
Minimum of 2 years of recent nursing experience requiredn
Prior travel nurse experience requiredn
ACLS certification requiredn
BLS certification requiredn
NIH Stroke Scale certification required and currentn
Experience with Cerner preferredn
Charge nurse experience preferredn
Ability to explain any work history gaps over 90 daysn
Submission of skills checklist and license verification requiredn
All requested time off must be included at time of submissionn
Responsibilities
n Provide high-quality care to intermediate care patients with cardiac, telemetry, neuro, and stroke-related needsn
Monitor patient status, assess changes, and respond appropriately to evolving clinical conditionsn
Administer medications, complete nursing interventions, and document care accurately and timelyn
Collaborate closely with the care team to support safe, efficient patient outcomesn
Take charge responsibilities when assigned and help guide unit flow as neededn
Support a positive, team-oriented environment and contribute to a culture of learning and excellencen
Deliver compassionate care across 12-hour night shifts while maintaining strong clinical judgmentn
