nThis Registered Nurse role supports a combined trauma, general surgery, stepdown, and med-surg unit in Morgantown, WV . As a travel RN, you will work closely with an interdisciplinary healthcare team to deliver high-quality patient care, strengthen your critical thinking skills, and make a meaningful impact each shift in a high-acuity acute care environment.

n Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,180 - $2,290n
Setting: Acute care trauma and general surgery stepdown / med-surg unitn
Shift Duration: 12-hour nightsn
Schedule: Weekend nights, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AMn
Hours: 36 guaranteed hours per weekn
Duration: 13 weeksn

Unit Type: Stepdown and floor care with telemetry supportn
Job Requirements
n Active Registered Nurse (RN) license or eligibility to work in the state of West Virginian
Experience in acute care, stepdown, trauma, med-surg , or a similar inpatient hospital settingn
Epic experience requiredn
Level 1 trauma experience requiredn
Experience working with 1:6 floor ratios and 1:3 stepdown ratios
BLS certification requiredn
Ability to read telemetry strips and validate monitoring findingsn
Strong skills in complex wound care, drains, devices, chest tubes, respiratory support, and neurologic injury caren
Comfort with floating to like units as neededn
Responsibilities
n Provide high-quality acute care nursing to floor and stepdown patients with trauma and general surgery needsn
Monitor, assess, and respond to changes in patient condition in a fast-paced hospital nursing environmentn
Care for patients with multi-trauma, traumatic brain injuries, fractures, chest-wall injuries, and complex spinal cord injuriesn
Support post-operative and bariatric surgery patients with attentive, compassionate bedside caren
Administer medications and manage commonly used therapies per unit protocolsn
Collaborate with care management, surgical teams, rehabilitation services, and perioperative servicesn
Maintain accurate clinical documentation in Epic and communicate effectively with the interdisciplinary care teamn
Contribute to a collaborative, patient-centered environment that values teamwork, safety, and clinical excellencen
