Patient Care Environment: Acute care intermediate care unit with cardiac stepdown and overflow patientsn
Registered Nurse Job Requirements
n Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensen
At least 1 year of recent acute care, telemetry, or stepdown nursing experiencen
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications requiredn
Ability to independently interpret telemetry stripsn
Experience titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips preferredn
Comfortable floating as needed to Tele or MedSurg unitsn
Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and adaptability in a fast-paced healthcare environmentn
Reliable attendance and flexibility to work scheduled weekends and occasional holidaysn
Cardiac Stepdown RN Responsibilities
n Provide care for cardiac stepdown and intermediate acuity patients, including chest pain, CHF, arrhythmias, and post-procedure recoveryn
Monitor telemetry and recognize changes in patient condition quickly and accuratelyn
Titrate ordered drips according to policy and clinical needn
Perform assessments, document care in Epic, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary care teamn
Support pre- and post-cardiac catheterization patients, including radial band management and groin checksn
Assist with patient transfers and floating assignments as needed to support unit coveragen
Deliver safe, patient-centered care while maintaining strong communication with providers and ancillary departmentsn
