Floating: First to float to other floor or stepdown units as neededn

Job Requirements
n Active RN licensen
BLS certification from the American Heart Associationn
EPIC experience requiredn
Ability to care for both med-surg and stepdown patients in an acute care settingn
Comfort working with a 6:1 med-surg patient ratio and 3:1 stepdown ration
Experience titrating drips such as heparin, insulin, anti-hypertensives, antiarrhythmics, and PCA medicationsn
At least 1 year of relevant acute care nursing experience preferredn
Strong communication, adaptability, and teamwork skillsn
Ability to work weekend nights and adjust to a flexible patient care assignment modeln
Responsibilities
n Provide high-quality nursing care to a diverse population of cardiac stepdown, telemetry, and medical-surgical patientsn
Monitor patients on telemetry and respond appropriately to changes in conditionn
Titrate ordered drips and manage therapies according to unit protocols and provider ordersn
Care for patients requiring support such as CPAP, BiPAP, high-flow oxygen, and ventilator monitoring in stepdownn
Collaborate with charge nurses, house supervisors, clinical associates, and the interdisciplinary care teamn
Document assessments, interventions, and patient outcomes accurately in EPICn
Support safe, efficient patient flow while maintaining excellent clinical standardsn
Adapt to changing unit needs and assist where needed across floor and stepdown assignmentsn
