Job Summary
Cardiology Medical Surgical Nurse - Nashville, Tennessee. This position involves providing specialized care on a 4th-floor cardiac unit within a hospital that features Level 1 trauma and a Comprehensive Stroke Center designation. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of assignment. The role requires dedication to patient-centered care in a fast-paced environment with a focus on cardiac and surgical patients.

Location: Nashville, Tennessee
Position: Medical Surgical Cardiac Floor
Shift: 12-hour shifts (Days)
Minimum Hours Per Week: 36 hours
Start Date: 07/20/2026
Required Qualifications: Valid healthcare license, BLS (Basic Life Support) certification, experience performing procedures on a Medical Surgical unit, EMR experience with Meditech , trauma level experience, teaching hospital experience, and stroke center experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working on a Cardiac Medical Surgical unit, familiarity with Level 1 trauma and stroke center protocols, and Navy Scrubs.
Schedule: Three 12-hour shifts per week with a weekend requirement of four weekend shifts per schedule.
Additional Information: Unit type is a 4th-floor Medical Surgical unit with 34 beds, patient ratios of 6:1, and unit secretaries for dayshift and PCTs on all shifts. It operates under policies requiring navy scrubs and documentation via Meditech. The unit also has a Level 1 trauma designation and is a Comprehensive Stroke Center.
