nThis unit is located in the clinic tower of the facility.
General Job Duties
n Manage medication refills and check the Prescription Drug Monitoring Program (PDMP).
Ensure patients have follow-up visits and communicate with patients regarding labs, medications, and test results.
Respond to patient portal messages and assist physicians with hypoglossal nerve stimulation for patients.
Participate in the activation and monitoring of nerve stimulation devices.
Collaborate with adult and pediatric neurology providers on power plans and order proposals.
Complete prior authorization work and coordinate comprehensive patient care.

n Cerner Electronic Health Record System
n Required Skills and Minimum Experience
n 2 years of recent RN experience is required.
Experience in neurology is preferred, but experience in outpatient or medical-surgical settings is also acceptable.
n Licensures and Certifications
n Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) is required.
A valid RN license in Wisconsin or a compact state license is required.
n Shift or Schedule Requirements
nStandard 8-hour day shifts; no call or weekend shifts are required.
Floating Policy
nPossible floating to Neuro and Sleep Lab units may be required.
Unit Capacity
nThe unit features approximately 20 exam rooms and 9 sleep labs, with an average patient volume of around 50 patients per day.
Dress Code
nScrubs or business casual attire is required.
Training and Orientation
nThe training program will be efficient and designed to ensure applicant comfort with their duties. It will include both computer-based learning and hands-on experiences.
