Job Summary
Operating Room Open Heart (OR OH) professional position in North Charleston, SC. This role involves providing advanced circulatory nursing care in a highly specialized surgical environment. The candidate will support procedures including heart and valve replacements, utilizing state-of-the-art robotic equipment, and collaborate with a dedicated cardiac and thoracic team to deliver excellent patient outcomes.
Job Details
Schedule: Days shift, 10 hours per shift, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
Required Qualifications
3 years of experience as an RN with certifications in BLS.
Must have thoracic and vascular experience to include heart and valve replacements.
Preferred Qualifications
Strong skills in cardiac (CV/PV), coronary artery bypass grafts, and mitral or aortic valve replacement procedures.
Advanced circulating skills, including positioning, prepping, and facilitating surgical cases, are highly desirable.

Additional Information
The surgical team performs procedures in general, trauma, orthopedic (trauma and elective joints/sports medicine), urology, gynecology, neuro (complex crani and spine), plastic surgery, and robotic-assisted surgeries. The unit operates with a staffing model of 1 RN/1 CST per room, a charge RN, and 4:1 anesthesia coverage, including night shifts. The facility features advanced equipment such as XI Robot, Mako joint robot, and Meditech documentation system. The candidate must start on 10/12/2026 and complete assignment by 01/11/2027.
