Cross Country Nurses is seeking a travel nurse RN CVOR for a travel nursing job in Wausau, Wisconsin.

Job Summary:
Operating Room Open Heart (OR OH) RN in a rotating shift schedule at the healthcare provider's facility. Responsible for supporting anesthesia providers during a variety of cardiac, trauma, elective, and general surgeries across multiple specialty areas. The role requires resilience, excellent work ethic, and strong critical thinking skills to adapt to a dynamic surgical environment.
Job Details:
Schedule: Rotating shifts, 8 hours per day, with a minimum of 40 hours guaranteed per week.
Required Qualifications: WI Registered Nurse (RN) license or compact RN license, AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), associates or bachelors degree in nursing, minimum 3 years of Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) experience with anesthesia, or ICU/ER RN with anesthesia experience, prior travel experience preferred, Epic charting experience required, vehicle required for response time.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with conscious sedation, assisting with intubations, fiber optic scopes, sterile techniques with central lines, invasive line placement, and use of anesthesia equipment such as Belmont, Cell Saver, Swan Ganz catheters.
Responsibilities include assisting in cardiothoracic surgeries, trauma, elective, and general procedures, supporting anesthesia providers in various tasks, and managing downtime tasks as needed.
Unit details include 21 Operating Rooms covering all specialties, with 4-5 rooms assigned daily.
Scrub colors will be provided.
Orientation: Two-week training period with additional anesthesia skills training as needed.
Shift notes: Various day shifts, 8 hours, during holidays every other.
Additional notes: Compliance with facility policies, including vaccination requirements, is mandatory.
