Job Summary
Operating Room Open Heart (OR OH) nurse position located in an acute care healthcare setting. This role involves providing comprehensive perioperative care for patients undergoing cardiac surgeries, utilizing evidence-based practices and the nursing process to ensure optimal patient outcomes. The position requires collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to facilitate safe and efficient surgical procedures.
Job Details
Schedule: Days shift, 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
Required Qualifications
Valid California Registered Nurse (RN) license
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA)
at least three years of recent RN experience working in the role
at least two years of recent RN experience specializing in Operating Room Open Heart
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in cardiac surgery nursing preferred.
Additional Information
The role involves development and implementation of age/culturally appropriate care plans, patient advocacy, interdisciplinary communication, delegation, and coordination with healthcare team members to optimize patient care before, during, and after surgical procedures. The position starts on 09/28/2026 and ends on 12/26/2026.
