Job Description
Carle Health is seeking an experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week assignment in Urbana, IL. The RN will provide direct patient care in a fast-paced ED environment, utilizing the nursing process to assess patients, develop and implement care plans, administer interventions, and continuously evaluate patient needs.
Responsibilities
Perform comprehensive patient assessments in the Emergency Department
Develop and implement individualized plans of care
Provide nursing interventions based on patient needs
Monitor and continuously evaluate patient condition
Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation
Collaborate with physicians, healthcare staff, patients, and families
Promote patient and staff safety
Follow ED-specific nursing procedures and standards
Communicate effectively with the healthcare team
Participate in departmental competencies and professional development
Requirements
Minimum 3 years of relevant nursing experience
Emergency Room / Emergency Department experience
EPIC experience required
ASN required
BSN preferred
Active Illinois RN License in good standing
BLS – AHA
ACLS – AHA
PALS – AHA
TNCC highly preferred
Trauma Level II or higher experience preferred
