Job Summary
Emergency Room (ER) Nurse - Night Shift - Location: unspecified. This position involves providing high-quality emergency care in a cardio-focused hospital with an elderly patient population. The role requires collaboration with a healthcare team to deliver timely, effective treatment to a diverse patient demographic, including pediatric cases.
Job Details
Shift: Night shift, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week
Required Qualifications
Active Illinois nursing license
CPR certification
ACLS
NIH Stroke Scale certification
PALS
TNCC or TNS
Epic electronic health record experience
minimum of 2 years of ER experience
ability to submit a passing EKG test with a score of 80% or higher
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Epic EHR system
previous experience in a Level II Cardiac hospital caring for elderly and pediatric patients
Additional Information
The unit primarily handles a high volume of approximately 3,000 patients per month, emphasizing cardiac care aspects. Candidate should be comfortable working with an elderly population and pediatric patients as needed. Floating and on-call shifts are not required.
