Job Overview
nThis position is for an Emergency Department Registered Nurse in a 24-bed unit with a 4 recliner flex area. The unit is a Level III Trauma center. The assignment is for 13 weeks, with a possibility of extension, and requires work during nights, some weekends, and holidays.
Key Responsibilities
n Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced emergency department setting.
Perform triage, assessments, and interventions for patients of varying acuity levels.
Administer medications, including conscious sedation, and assess their effects.
Manage patients requiring ventilation and telemetry monitoring.
Establish IV access and perform other necessary nursing procedures.
n Qualifications
n Minimum of 3 years of recent Emergency Department experience is required.
Previous travel nursing experience is preferred.
Current certifications required: n ACLS
BLS
NIH Stroke Scale
TNCC
PALS
Proficiency in the use of electronic medical records software, specifically PICIS and Soarian Clinicals.
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
n Additional Information
nRoyal Blue scrubs are required for this position and will not be provided.
Minimal to no requests for time off (RTO) will be accepted and must be included in the submission.
