Amergis Healthcare Staffing, Inc. is seeking a travel nurse RN ED - Emergency Department for a travel nursing job in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: ED - Emergency Department Discipline: RN Start Date: 11/09/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Emergency Room RN | Days | 3x12s (7:00 AM - 7:30 PM) | EOW Required Join a fast-paced Emergency Department and provide critical care to high-acuity and trauma patients. Candidates must have 2 years of recent ED experience , preferably in a 30 bed Emergency Department and/or Level I Trauma Center . Must be comfortable independently caring for Level I trauma patients in the Trauma Bay. Typical nurse-to-patient ratios range from 4:1 to 5:1 .
Requirements:
Active Florida or Compact RN License BLS & ACLS (AHA) TNCC and NIHSS required Epic experience required Degree from an accredited nursing program (or FBON-approved institution) Minimum 2 years of consecutive acute care experience within the last 24 months in a U.S. hospital Additional Information: Local candidates accepted (60-mile radius rule applies) Local rate is $6/hr less than travel rate Must pass Florida AHCA Level 2 background screening, including fingerprinting and criminal history review This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced ER nurse seeking a challenging, high-acuity environment with a strong trauma focus.
