Cross Country Nurses is seeking a travel nurse RN ED - Emergency Department for a travel nursing job in Salem, Virginia.

Job Summary:
Emergency Room (ER) Nurse in Salem, VA. This role involves providing high-quality emergency care in a busy, fast-paced emergency department with a 27-bed capacity. The position requires working a day shift, with duties including patient assessment, stabilization, and coordination of patient transfers, along with adherence to hospital policies and procedures.
Job Details:
Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
Required Qualifications: Valid BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications; 2-3 years of ER experience; 2-3 previous travel assignments; candidate must have completed 2-3 travel assignments; healthcare professional must have worked in high acuity ERs, fast-paced environments, and with patient ratios of 5:1.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with RSI, Sepsis interventions, Stroke protocol with tPA administration, central line placement, care of psych patients, and transfers to other facilities (EMTALA).
Additional Information: No floating required. No on-call shifts; weekends consist of four weekend shifts within a four-week schedule.
