Job Summary
nEmergency Room (ER) Nurse Indiana Nights
nThis ER nurse position involves providing comprehensive emergency care within a Level 2 Adult and Pediatric Trauma center. The role requires delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment, utilizing specialized skills and certifications to support patients in critical situations.
nJob Details
nnRequired Qualifications: 2 years of Emergency Department nursing experience; current Indiana or compact RN license; BLS (AHA only); ACLS (AHA only); PALS (AHA only); TNCC; minimum 2 years of ER experience; shift scheduled for nights (12 hours); minimum of 36 hours per week.
nPreferred Qualifications: Experience working at a Level 2 Trauma center; familiarity with EPIC charting and Pyxis medication systems.
nResponsibilities: Providing emergency nursing care, operating in a team nursing approach, utilizing equipment such as Electronic Fetal Heart Monitorin (EFM).
nCertifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC required.
nSchedule: Night shift, 12 hours, a minimum of 36 hours per week.
nOrientation: Orientation sessions run Monday through Friday of Week 1 and Monday-Tuesday of Week 2, with mandatory attendance for all seven days.
nAdditional Information: The Emergency Department features 40 rooms, including 23 non-monitored, 13 monitored, and 4 resuscitation bays, with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4. Orientation will include 8 non-billable hours, and charts will be maintained using EPIC system.
