Job Summary
nEmergency Room (ER) Nurse in Madison, Wisconsin. This position involves providing urgent and emergent care in a high-acuity, Level I Trauma Center Emergency Department that serves adult and pediatric patients. The role requires delivering fast-paced, specialized care in a complex environment, supporting nationally recognized programs and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.
nJob Details
nnPosition Description: ER Nurse Nights shifts, with 12-hour shifts and a minimum of 36 hours per week; work schedule includes nights, weekends, and holidays with rotation.
nRequired Qualifications: Wisconsin Registered Nurse (RN) license or Compact RN license, two (2) years of Emergency Department experience with adult and pediatric populations within the last 3 years, AHA-BLS, PALS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications, Epic charting system experience.
nPreferred Qualifications: Prior charge nurse experience, Level I Trauma Center experience, pediatric ER experience, community hospital experience, and travel experience.
nAdditional Information: Candidates must pass a telemetry test prior to start, with specific criteria for adult and pediatric exams, including identification of lethal rhythms and rhythm interpretation with an 80% passing score. Certification in ACLS, BLS, PALS, and TNCC is mandatory. Travelers will be required to float as needed, with a local rule of 50 miles from the facility.
