Travel RN Job Details Position: Emergency Department Registered Nurse (ER RN) Employment Type: Travel nursing assignment Specialty: Emergency Department / Emergency Room / Acute Care Schedule: 12-hour day shifts, 3 shifts per week, 36 hours per week Weekend/Holiday Requirement: Every other weekend and one major holiday required Contract Length: 13 weeks Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,910–$2,010 Location: Petersburg, VA 23805 Emergency Department RN Job Requirements Active Registered Nurse license in the state of practice or compact eligibility Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required Recent Emergency Department nursing or Critical Care experience strongly preferred BLS required ACLS and PALS required within 6 months of hire; preferred at hire TNCC preferred CPI de-escalation training required EPIC experience strongly preferred Must be able to pass an EKG exam at orientation Ability to work effectively in a high-volume, high-acuity emergency care setting Emergency Room Nursing Responsibilities Provide comprehensive emergency nursing care for patients of all ages, from neonates through adults Perform initial and ongoing assessments, triage patients, and prioritize care based on acuity Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized plans of care in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team Administer medications and treatments safely and in accordance with nursing standards and policies Support trauma, stroke, STEMI, behavioral health, and other urgent or emergent patient needs Respond calmly and efficiently in fast-moving, high-stress clinical situations Coordinate care with physicians, techs, and other team members to promote timely patient throughput Advocate for patient safety, quality improvement, and positive patient outcomes Use emergency equipment and clinical technologies confidently and appropriately Maintain professionalism, compassion, and clear communication with patients and families Apply now for this Emergency Department RN travel job in Petersburg, Virginia, and join a healthcare team committed to excellent patient care.
