Emergency Room RN Job Requirements
n Current Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in Oklahoma or a valid multistate RN licensen
At least 2 years of recent Emergency Room or Emergency Department nursing experiencen
Graduate of an approved professional nursing programn
Current BLS certification through the American Heart Associationn
Current ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certificationsn
Epic electronic health record documentation experiencen
Working knowledge of disease-state management, clinical pathways, and the biopsychosocial modeln
Strong clinical judgment, communication, organization, and prioritization skillsn
Ability to work effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary healthcare professionalsn
Emergency Department Nursing Responsibilities
n Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care using the nursing processn
Provide timely, compassionate care to emergency patients with varying levels of acuityn
Organize and prioritize nursing interventions based on patient needs and changing clinical conditionsn
Perform nursing skills appropriate to the emergency care patient populationn
Monitor patient status and demonstrate sound professional judgment in complex or rapidly changing situationsn
Document assessments, interventions, patient responses, and outcomes accurately in Epicn
Communicate and collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, ancillary staff, patients, and familiesn
Provide patient and family education while considering age, culture, and psychosocial factorsn
Coordinate referrals, discharge teaching, and follow-up resources as appropriaten
Support quality improvement, education, mandatory training, and unit-based initiativesn
Complete required variance reports and maintain accurate clinical recordsn
