Requirements
Active RN License
Degree from an accredited nursing program
BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC may be required
Eighteen months of recent experience in an acute care emergency room
Additional requirements set by the client facility

Duties & Responsibilities
Emergency room registered nurses provide care for patients with a range of illnesses or trauma that require emergency attention and must be able to recognize and effectively treat life‑threatening conditions.
Assess, intervene, and stabilize a variety of trauma and illnesses with decisive action.
Apply knowledge of general and specific health issues to a broad spectrum of medical conditions.
Understand triage to prioritize injuries based on medical need.
Make quick and accurate assessments of incoming patients, including both physical and mental health conditions.
