Emergency Department RN Job Details
n Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,090–$2,200n
Location: Harrison Township, New Jerseyn
Healthcare Setting: Emergency Department; on-siten
Start Date: October 19, 2026n
Contract Duration: 13-week contractn
Schedule: 36 hours per weekn
Weekend Requirement: Every other weekendn
Holiday Requirement: No holidays requiredn
Time-Off Requests: Up to 3 days of requested time off may be acceptedn
Emergency Room Registered Nurse Requirements
n At least 3 years of recent Emergency Department or Emergency Room nursing experiencen
Recent Epic experience required; include the year Epic was most recently used with your applicationn
BSN requiredn
At least one completed contract nursing assignment requiredn
Experience in a high-volume, fast-paced Emergency Department preferredn
Active New Jersey Registered Nurse license or compact RN licensen
Current AHA BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certificationsn
All required certifications must be current at the time of submission and must not expire within 30 days of submissionn
Strong patient assessment, prioritization, communication, and teamwork skillsn
Emergency Department RN Responsibilities
n Provide safe, evidence-based nursing care to patients presenting to the Emergency Departmentn
Perform focused patient assessments, identify changes in condition, and prioritize care according to acuityn
Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to support timely evaluation and treatmentn
Administer medications, treatments, and nursing interventions in accordance with established protocolsn
Document patient care accurately and efficiently in Epicn
Respond effectively to urgent and emergent situations in a high-volume emergency care environmentn
Complete required orientation activities, including Epic onboarding and unit-based orientationn
Maintain compliance with department policies, safety standards, and professional nursing practice requirementsn
