Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per weekn
Shift Length: 12-hour shiftsn
Shift Schedule: Variable day, mid, and evening start times; every other weekend rotationn
Facility Setting: Busy 32-bed Emergency Department with an average daily census of 90-110 patientsn
Location: Tacoma, Washington 98405n
Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,090-$2,200n
Orientation: General hospital orientation with unit training and initial guided shiftsn
Charting System: EPICn
Equipment: Alaris pumps and Pyxis medication dispensingn
Job Requirements
n Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Department nursing experience requiredn
Previous travel nursing experience preferred; first-time travelers are not acceptedn
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license requiredn
Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, TNCC, and MOAB 12 or CPI certifications requiredn
Strong ED clinical skills and comfort working in a high-volume, high-acuity environmentn
Excellent communication, teamwork, organization, and time management skillsn
Ability to care for adults, behavioral health patients, geriatric patients, and occasional pediatric casesn
Responsibilities
n Provide safe, compassionate, and efficient emergency nursing care to ED patientsn
Assess, triage, and prioritize patients in a fast-paced emergency department settingn
Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, respiratory therapy, phlebotomy, and support staffn
Administer medications, initiate interventions, and respond quickly to changes in patient conditionn
Maintain accurate documentation in EPIC and support smooth patient flow throughout the shiftn
Deliver high-quality clinical care while maintaining a team-oriented approachn
Adapt to variable shift start times and contribute to every-other-weekend coveragen
