Cross Country Nurses is seeking a travel nurse RN ED - Emergency Department for a travel nursing job in Nyack, New York. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: ED - Emergency Department Discipline: RN Start Date: 11/16/2026 Duration: 12 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Job Summary Emergency Room (ER) Nurse in the healthcare provider setting. This position involves providing specialized emergency care within a busy ER/ED environment, managing a high volume of patients with acuity requiring acute interventions, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team. The role requires ED experience, current certifications, and proficiency with electronic health record systems. Job Details Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS. TNCC preferred. Education Requirements: Valid NY Licensed RN license, minimum of 2 years of ER experience, current with ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and EPIC experience. Location Requirements: NY licensed RN. Experience Minimum: 2 years in emergency nursing. Schedule: 12-hour nights shift, minimum of 36 hours per week, from 12 PM to 12 AM. Additional responsibilities include managing patient triage and holding areas, performing ABGs, EKGs, and assisting with ventilation management. Experience with EPIC electronic health records and pediatrics is required. Unit operates with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:8-10, handling approximately 145-150 patients daily. Triage involves a separate area, and travelers may perform triage if experienced. The ER features 44 beds, including 3 trauma bays and 12 psych beds, with a trauma level of III and stroke level of III. Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with high patient volumes and demonstrate competence in strip reading and equipment troubleshooting. No floating requirement. Scrubs required in Navy Blue. Additional clinical orientation includes a 2-day unit-specific training. The position is traveler-friendly with available parking options.
