Wellspring Nurse Source is seeking a travel nurse RN ED - Emergency Department for a travel nursing job in Alexandria, Louisiana.

Job Summary
nThe competent Nurse, in a high-acuity clinical setting, practices independently while demonstrating awareness of all relevant aspects of patient care. This role involves providing routine and complex nursing care, enabling the nurse to manage clinical situations effectively and make appropriate delegations to other care providers.
Type of Patients
nContractors will encounter a wide array of patients, including but not limited to:
n Strokes
Cardiovascular conditions
Diabetes management
Wounds
Behavioral health issues
Sepsis cases
Some trauma cases (not designated as a trauma unit)
n nSecurity personnel are available onsite 24/7.
Shift Details
nDAYS 7 AM - 7 PM
nStart date: ASAP
Required Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications
n BLS certification via AHA
ACLS certification via AHA
PALS certification via AHA
RN License in the state of employment or compact
TNCC certification
De-Escalation certification
n Responsibilities
n Meets expectations as outlined by relevant competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders.
Provides nursing care in accordance with the ANA Scope and Standards of Practice, utilizing the nursing process for assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients.
Addresses complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families based on their level of practice.
Administers medications and treatments in accordance with protocols, monitoring for side effects and treatment effectiveness.
Documents patient history, symptoms, medications, and care administered.
Assesses learning needs and provides education to patients, family members, and caregivers, identifying issues and resources as necessary.
n Education and Skills
n Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing (preferred)
n Experience
n At least 1 year of experience in a related nursing specialty preferred.
n Position Requirements
n Newly hired experienced RNs must attend New Nurses Orientation within the first 30 days of hire.
New hires will be precepted by a designated trained staff member, with initial onboarding validated through competency validations.
Newly licensed RNs may participate in a residency program or specific orientation.
Completion of all annual competency verification requirements is mandatory.
