Job Description
nWe are seeking a qualified Emergency Department Nurse to join our dynamic team. This role involves providing care for diverse patient populations, including newborns, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics in a fast-paced emergency setting.
Unit Information
n Unit Type: Emergency Department
Number of Beds: 64 (includes acute, super track, trauma, and psych beds)
Common Patient Diagnoses: Stroke, Sepsis, Trauma, Myocardial Infarction, Cardiac Arrest, Respiratory Failure
Specialty Equipment: Rapid Infusor, Arctic Sun
n Responsibilities
n Assess and triage patients effectively upon arrival.
Provide direct patient care and manage acute health issues.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Document all patient interactions and treatments accurately in electronic medical records.
Participate in floating to different areas as required for patient care needs.
n Qualifications
n Minimum of 2 years of experience in the Emergency Department, with pediatric experience preferred.
Valid licensure as a Registered Nurse with an active state license.
Current certifications in AHA ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC (TNCC certification must be held in hand).
Experience with Electronic Medical Records, specifically EPIC.
Must provide a skills checklist matching the specialty.
Documentation of travel experience is required.
n Shift Information
nShifts will be from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM. Please note that block scheduling is not guaranteed.
Additional Requirements
n Ability to float to other departments as needed based on staffing and patient care needs.
Must possess a driver's license with an address matching demographic information provided.
