Job Description
nWe are seeking a dedicated Emergency Department Registered Nurse with experience in managing a diverse patient population. The ideal candidate will possess the skills to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and provide high-quality care to patients of all ages, including newborns, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics.
Unit Specifics
n Common patient diagnoses include Stroke, Sepsis, Trauma, Myocardial Infarction, Cardiac Arrest, and Respiratory Failure.
Specialty equipment utilized includes Rapid Infusor and Arctic Sun.
The Emergency Department consists of 64 beds, including 2 Triage, 40 acute, 6 super track, 2 Trauma, 10 Clinical Decision Unit (CDU), and 6 psychiatric beds.
n Shift Information
nThe scheduled shift for this position is from 8:30 AM to 9:00 PM. Please note that block scheduling is not guaranteed, and floating to different areas within the department may be required.
Qualifications
n Minimum of 2 years of experience in the Emergency Department with some pediatric experience.
Current and active RN license in New York along with all other RN licenses.
Required certifications: AHA ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC (TNCC must be in hand).
Experience with electronic medical records, specifically EPIC, is required.
Skills checklist that matches the specialty must be completed and submitted.
n Additional Requirements
nDocumentation of travel experience is necessary. Candidates must also provide a driver's license with an address that matches their demographic information.
Preferred Qualifications
n Charge capability is highly preferred.
