Job Summary
nEmergency Room (ER) Nurse in the location. This role involves providing high-quality emergency care within a Level III Trauma Center that manages a diverse caseload, including pediatric, cardiac, stroke, and trauma patients. The position requires adaptability to unit-specific protocols and the ability to work collaboratively within a busy emergency setting.
nJob Details
nnPosition Description: Emergency Room Nurse responsible for delivering emergency care at a trauma Level III facility with a 24/7 security presence. The role includes managing a patient volume of approximately 70 patients daily, utilizing advanced monitoring, ventilation, and trauma protocols.
nRequired Qualifications: Valid RN license, BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support), TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course), minimum 2 years of ER experience, experience with EPIC electronic health record system, and ability to pass the Advanced Dysrhythmia test (83%) within three attempts.
nSchedule: 12-hour night shifts, starting at 6:45 PM, with a minimum of 48 hours per week, including every other weekend and holiday rotations.
nAdditional Information: Candidates may be asked to precept new staff, work in a fast-paced environment with intermixed holds, and troubleshoot ventilators and monitors. First-time travelers are welcome; the unit prefers extensions and places importance on minimal call or standby requirements.
nSubmission Requirements: Candidates must provide a copy of their drivers license at time of submission to validate legal name and ensure the name matches government-issued identification.
