Job Summary
Emergency Room (ER) nurse position available at a healthcare facility located in an urban setting. This role involves providing high-quality emergency nursing care across a diverse patient demographic, including newborns, pediatrics, adults, and geriatric patients. The ER nurse will work a rotating shift schedule, contributing to a fast-paced, dynamic environment requiring adaptability and clinical expertise.
Job Details
Schedule: 8:30 AM to 9:00 PM, rotating schedule, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
Required Qualifications
Valid NY State RN license, active NY license, and all RN licenses
current AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS), and Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certifications
Minimum of 2 years of experience in Emergency Department with some Pediatric experience
up-to-date resume documenting travel experience
Drivers licenses with address matching demographics
EMR experience with EPIC
NURSYS report verification required
Preferred Qualifications
Charge nurse experience highly preferred
Float: Float rotation may be required
Scrub Color: Navy Blue
Unit Specifics
Common patient diagnoses include stroke, sepsis, trauma, myocardial infarction, cardiac arrest, and respiratory failure.
Specialty equipment used includes Rapid Infusor and Arctic Sun.
