Job description
Role: Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN) for a travel nursing assignment in Guttenberg, Iowa.
Responsibilities: Provide acute care in a fast-paced emergency setting, deliver high-quality patient care, perform procedures such as IV starts, EKGs, drips, and infusions, and manage patients with conditions like sepsis, stroke, MI, and trauma. Adhere to protocols and utilize specialized equipment including bedside monitors, infusion pumps, and ventilators. Maintain patient ratios typically of 1:3 to 1:5, and participate in orientation to ensure clinical readiness.
Qualifications & Skills: Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications; minimum of 1 year clinical experience; ability to work night shifts; willing to commute or reside in Guttenberg, Iowa. Strong nursing skills in emergency care, critical thinking, and ability to handle a busy environment are essential.
Key Duties: Provide emergency nursing care, operate medical equipment, perform procedures, and ensure patient safety and protocol compliance. No travel or float rotation required.
