Key Responsibilities
Deliver safe, effective, and quality patient- and family-centered care in the Emergency Department
Communicate effectively with all members of the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans
Maintain a high degree of confidentiality in all patient interactions and documentation
Perform thorough patient assessments and respond rapidly and efficiently in emergency situations
Function independently while supporting the mission, vision, and values of the organization
Required Qualifications
Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Maine, or Authorization to Practice pending licensure by endorsement
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification
ACLS and PALS required within six months of hire date
Strong assessment, communication, computer, and documentation skills
Ability to act rapidly and efficiently in emergency situations
Preferred Experience / Skills
Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Department nursing experience
Demonstrated ability to function independently in a fast-paced clinical environment
