Contract | Night Shift (1800–0630) | Expected 36–48 hours per week
Key Responsibilities
Perform head-to-toe assessments and reassessments on pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient populations per policy
Demonstrate the ability to handle emergency situations in a prompt, precise, and professional manner
Monitor hemodynamic status of patients and accurately interpret results
Prepare, administer, monitor, and discontinue IV fluids; maintain current knowledge of medications and their correct administration based on patient age and clinical condition
Maintain accurate and comprehensive nursing documentation including patient histories, conditions, treatments, responses, and assessment of changes
Maintain and meet expectations on time for all competencies, licensure, certifications, and education requirements as outlined by regulatory agencies including TJC and CMS
Required Qualifications
Graduate from an accredited school of nursing
At least one year of Registered Nurse experience within the last 24 months and acute critical care experience within the last 12 months; or EMT/ED Tech with a minimum of 2 years of experience in good standing
Current Registered Nurse license issued by the State of California
Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
Proficiency with EPIC electronic health records system required
Basic computer skills
Preferred Experience / Skills
Emergency Room and/or ICU experience preferred, as some floating between units may be required
MICN certification desired; encouraged to be completed within one year of hire
NRP, TNCC, and CEN certifications encouraged and recommended
