Schedule / Job Type
Contract | 13-Week Assignment | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | 3x12 shifts | Expected 36 hours/week
Key Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive, individualized nursing care to adolescent, adult, and geriatric Emergency Room patients utilizing the full nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
Diagnose and treat human responses to health problems, demonstrating cognitive and psychosocial competency specific to the patient population served
Coordinate care across multidisciplinary teams, incorporating family and caregivers into care planning when appropriate
Maintain continuous mental focus to ensure optimal patient safety, sound clinical judgment, and effective decision-making in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
Float to other areas of the organization as needed, up to competency level, including potential coverage on weekends, holidays, and call shifts
Pick up one additional shift per scheduling period (every 4 weeks) as required
Required Qualifications
Active Nevada RN license required prior to start date
Required certifications: AHA BLS, ACLS, TNCC, and ENPC or PALS
Minimum 2 years of Emergency Room nursing experience
Prior travel nursing experience of at least one completed 13-week assignment required
Preferred Experience / Skills
Experience in a high-volume, Level I or Level II Trauma Center environment
Familiarity with stroke care protocols and trauma patient management
Demonstrated ability to adapt to varying schedules and department needs, including call requirements
