Wellspring Nurse Source is seeking a travel nurse RN Endoscopy for a travel nursing job in Roanoke, Virginia. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Endoscopy Discipline: RN Start Date: 11/09/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 8 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Endoscopy Registered Nurse (RN) Scheduling Details The position requires a commitment of 40 hours per week with flexible shift options: 5 days per week, 8-hour shifts (7:00 AM - 3:00 PM) 4 days per week, 10-hour shifts (7:00 AM - 5:00 PM) Weekend and on-call requirements apply, including a call rotation with staff. Charting Requirements Experience with EPIC charting is required. Holiday Requirements Candidates must work one holiday or take call during the 13-week contract period. Licensure and Certifications Current ACLS and BLS certifications are mandatory. Pending licenses are accepted for candidates holding a single-state license from a non-compact state. An active Virginia State or Compact RN/LPN license is required for all others. Clinical Skills Required Respiratory care including airway management. Experience in recovering patients from conscious sedation and monitored anesthesia care sedation. Familiarity with various surgical instruments and equipment, such as balloon dilators, electrosurgical units, and polyp snares. Proficiency in performing procedures such as colonoscopy, EGD, ERCP, and esophageal varices banding. Experience in both inpatient and outpatient endoscopy settings. Ability to monitor and assess lab values, managing conditions such as malignant hyperthermia and pain evaluations. Skills in managing dysrhythmias and conducting ECGs. Starting and maintaining IVs is essential. Patient Population The Endoscopy unit serves a diverse patient population, including adolescents, infants, adults, and geriatrics. Work Environment The position involves working in various settings such as inpatient facilities, outpatient endoscopy centers, and portable/bedside travel cases. Wellspring Nurse Source Job ID .
