Job description
Position:
ICU - Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse (RN)
Role Overview:
Provide specialized care for adult patients with complex conditions such as trauma, cardiac issues, sepsis, strokes, respiratory distress, and post-procedural care in an acute care setting. Responsibilities include titrating medications, interpreting monitors, and collaborating with healthcare teams to ensure high-quality patient care.
Key Duties:
Deliver bedside care in a 33-bed ICU, manage ventilators, cardiac drips, sedation, and insulin, interpret ECGs, and adapt to float rotations to PCU or Medical-Surgical units when needed.
Qualifications:
Valid RN license, ACLS, BLS, NIHSS certifications, minimum of 2 years ICU experience, and a valid driver’s license within 50 miles of the facility. Preferred skills include ventilator management, electronic charting (EPIC), and experience in trauma or high-acuity environments.
Shift & Schedule:
12-hour day shifts, 36 hours weekly, with potential for every other weekend and holiday work. Orientation includes one shift of unit-specific training.
Additional Info:
May require float rotation; RTO requests limited to seven days or less within the contract period.
