Job Details
13-week contract
12-hour day/night variable shifts, 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
Guaranteed 48 hours per week with overtime after 48 hours worked
Contract end day is Sunday, not Saturday
Every other weekend and every other holiday required
Float requirements include all inpatient units as needed, typically to higher acuity units
Unit may low census in 4-hour increments; travelers may be asked to work only 4 or 8 hours of a shift
36-bed Med Surg Intermediate Care unit with heavy telemetry
Patient conditions include stable and weaning vents/trach, sepsis, trauma, alcohol detox, GI bleed, colostomy/ileostomy, chest tubes, TBI, ortho trauma, spinal cord injury, and stroke
Patient ratio of 4:1 with primary patients and insulin drips
Stepdown, intermediate, or PCU experience required; ICU experience preferred
Ventilator and trach experience required
Trauma Level II experience preferredMinimum 2+ years of experience required
At least 1 prior travel experience required
EPIC charting experience preferred
Required certifications: Wisconsin RN License, BLS and ACLS (AHA or ARC)
Associate Degree or Certificate required; Bachelor's Degree preferred
Scrub colors: any color
