Responsibilities
Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) Nurse Utica, New York. A healthcare professional is needed to support an Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) serving adult patients. This role involves caring for patients with neuro, cardiac, trauma, and respiratory conditions, including post-operative cases. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.
Qualifications
Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS)
Current American Heart Association (AHA) Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
Current American Heart Association (AHA) National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
Active New York (NY) RN license
ALL RN licenses
Driver's license with address that matches demographics
Up-to-date resume

Additional Information
Unit: IMCU; Floating Required: Yes
Common diagnoses include neuro, cardiac, trauma, and respiratory conditions such as COPD, DKA, sepsis, MI, CV stepdown, and post-op cases
Specialty equipment may include temp pacer, chest tubes, A lines, BiPAP, and Neptune Vapo
Ventilator care is required for chronic vents (unable to wean), with Respiratory Therapy support
