Travel Registered Nurse – Progressive Care Unit (PCU)

Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Travel | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Expected 36 hours/week | 13-Week Assignment
Key Responsibilities
Provide safe, high-quality, and compassionate care to PCU patients with an expected ratio of 1:4–1:5
Monitor and document vital signs every 4 hours, or more frequently based on patient condition
Perform blood glucose checks as ordered and complete required assessments and documentation every shift
Manage cardiac drips and insulin drips in accordance with unit protocols
Float to other areas of the hospital consistent with individual competencies as needed
Collaborate as part of a cohesive team alongside Unit Coordinators and Patient Care Technicians
Required Qualifications
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in the state of Georgia
ACLS certification required
Minimum 2 years of RN experience, with PCU or comparable step-down experience
Proficiency with Meditech documentation system preferred; must be adaptable to electronic health records
Familiarity with Alaris IV pumps, Welch Allyn VS machines, bladder scan, and vein finder equipment
Must adhere to dress code: Royal Blue Scrubs; no artificial or gel nails
Preferred Experience / Skills
Experience managing cardiac drips and insulin drips in a step-down or progressive care setting
Ability to work well within a collaborative, team-oriented unit culture
Flexibility and preference for consecutive night shifts (3-in-a-row scheduling is supported)
Experience with self-scheduling environments
