Job Title
Registered Nurse – Progressive Care Unit (PCU / Stepdown)

Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Day Shift (7A–7P) | Expected 36 hours/week | Every other weekend required
Key Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care in a 22-bed Progressive Care Unit serving adult cardiac populations, including cardiac observation, post cardiac cath lab patients, and cardioversion patients
Monitor patients via telemetry equipment and respond appropriately to changes in cardiac status
Maintain a 4:1 patient ratio while delivering safe, high-quality nursing care
Document patient assessments and care plans accurately using the Paragon EHR system
Float to other units as required per facility float policy
Maintain current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications throughout the assignment
Required Qualifications
Active RN license eligible for practice in North Carolina
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Minimum of 2 years of RN experience
Step-down or ICU experience required
Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) minimum required education
Must reside at least 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for travel rates
Preferred Experience / Skills
Experience with telemetry monitoring and cardiac patient populations
Familiarity with Paragon EHR system
Team-oriented with strong communication skills and flexibility in a fast-paced environment
