Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Travel | 13-Week Assignment | Full-Time | Onsite | Nights | 3x12 shifts, 36 hours per week guaranteed
Key Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive nursing care to adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
Manage and monitor patients with moderately complex conditions including post ischemic/hemorrhagic stroke, sepsis, cardiac, and respiratory diagnoses
Administer and titrate vasopressors and titratable drips; manage arterial lines, procedural sedation, thrombolytics, and trach patients
Read and interpret ECG/telemetry rhythm strips in accordance with unit requirements
Coordinate care across a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
Float to other units as needed within competency level; availability to work weekends, holidays, and one additional shift per 4-week schedule period is required
Required Qualifications
Active Nevada RN license required prior to start
Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Minimum 2 years of IMC/Stepdown experience
Demonstrated experience with vasopressors, titratable drips, arterial lines, neuro-stepdown patients, procedural sedation, thrombolytics, and trach management
Must pass an ECG/Telemetry exam upon placement (failure results in contract termination)
Preferred Experience / Skills
Medical/Neuro ICU experience preferred
Experience working in high-volume, fast-paced trauma or acute care environments
