Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery Nurse in Nashville, Tennessee. This position involves providing specialized care to laboring patients, newborns immediately after delivery, and patients recovering from cesarean sections. The role requires collaborative decision-making and adherence to unit-specific policies to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Job Details:
Position Description: Labor and Delivery Nurse within a womens and childrens unit at a healthcare facility.
Required Qualifications:
2 years of labor and delivery experience; AWHONN Intermediate (not advanced) or Electronic Fetal Heart Monitoring (CEFM) certification; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS); Basic Life Support (BLS); Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP).
Schedule: Night shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum 36 hours per week.
Additional Information: This role involves caring for laboring patients, assisting with vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, D&Cs, cerclage, epidural anesthesia, tubal ligation, and caring for newborns immediately after delivery. Candidates should be comfortable working within shared decision-making models and adhere to the hospitals dress code (scrubs in Ceil Blue, Navy Blue, or Gray).
