Job Summary
Labor and Delivery Nurse in the L&D department at a Level I trauma facility located in an unspecified city. This position involves providing specialized care for pregnant patients and newborns, supporting interdisciplinary teams in a high-volume environment. The role requires a dedicated professional committed to delivering quality maternal and neonatal care.
Job Details
Position: Labor & Delivery RN
Assignment Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 12-hour Night Shift with variable days
Schedule: 36 hours per week
Required Qualifications: Certifications: NRP, ACLS, AWHONN Fetal Monitoring
Education: Not specified
Experience: Minimum 2 years of clinical experience, including labor & delivery, in a Level I trauma facility
Preferred Qualifications: STABLE certification
Experience with patient ratios such as Labor: 1:11:2 and Antepartum: 1:21:3
Additional Information: Clinical procedures include circulating in the operating room, emergency C-sections, emergency D&C procedures, hysterectomies, phlebotomy, IV starts, magnesium and Pitocin infusions, epidural catheter removal, fetal monitoring equipment experience, and support from surgical OB techs and unit secretaries.
Support services include respiratory, anesthesia, and ventilator management available 24/7.
Orientation includes 24 shifts, with HR new hire orientation lasting 4 days.
No RTO approved within the first two weeks, and RTO not requested at submission may not be approved.
