Medical/Surgical (MS) Nursing Manager
Job Description:
The Medical/Surgical (MS) Nursing Manager is a Registered Nurse (RN) with demonstrated expertise in nursing leadership and clinical operations. This individual is responsible for overseeing patient care delivery, supervising nursing staff, and managing the day-to-day operations of the Medical/Surgical unit.
Working collaboratively with the hospital leadership team, the MS Nursing Manager promotes efficient clinical operations, supports staff development, ensures effective resource management, and drives continuous quality improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills, with a commitment to delivering safe, high-quality, patient-centered care.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee daily operations of the Medical/Surgical unit and ensure high standards of patient care.
Supervise, mentor, and support nursing staff to promote professional growth and clinical excellence.
Collaborate with the leadership team to improve operational efficiency and patient outcomes.
Manage staffing, scheduling, and unit resources effectively.
Monitor compliance with clinical policies, nursing standards, and regulatory requirements.
Lead quality improvement initiatives and promote patient safety.
Foster a collaborative work environment that supports teamwork and staff engagement.
Qualifications Current Registered Nurse (RN) license. Demonstrated nursing leadership and clinical management experience. Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Experience with staff supervision, resource management, and quality improvement preferred. Commitment to patient safety and high-quality patient care.
