Position Overview
TNAA TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Farmington, New Mexico.
TotalMed Travel Job ID # . Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax‑free stipend amount to be determined.

Responsibilities
Conduct patient assessments and prioritize data collection based on patients’ immediate conditions or needs.
Perform ongoing assessments and appropriate treatments as ordered by a physician.
Document patient findings and provide education and support to patients' families.
Provide bedside care for a variety of patients, including pre‑ and post‑op patients.
Prepare, administer and record prescribed medication, reporting any adverse reactions to treatment.
Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs.
Prepare equipment and aid physician during examination and treatment of patients.
Educate patients on surgical procedures.
Participate in discharge planning and initiate patient education plan as prescribed by a physician.
Stand and walk for long periods, lift 20 pounds, and handle patients that may require lifting up to 50 pounds; work in a fast‑paced environment with patients that may be confused, agitated, or uncooperative.
Qualifications
1–2 years recent acute care experience.
BLS, 1 Year.
Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.
