PEL/VIP is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Macon, Georgia. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Med Surg Discipline: RN Start Date: ASAP Duration: 12 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse - MedSurg/Tele | Travel | Not Provided Assignment Overview We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse specializing in MedSurg/Tele for a travel assignment. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of two years of Med/Tele RN experience and be comfortable working in a dynamic and collaborative environment, typical of a Level 1 Trauma Hospital. This role involves caring for patients with a range of diagnoses including orthopedic and trauma injuries, acute or chronic diseases, post-op surgeries, and common co-morbidities of the med-surg population. Assignment Details Start Date: Not Provided Location: Not Provided Shift Details: 12-hour shifts, 7A-7P or 7P-7A Assignment Length: Not Provided Estimated gross weekly pay package: $2025 (negotiable) Work Modality: Not Provided Local Candidate Policy: Not Provided Number of Openings: Not Provided Charting System: EPIC Responsibilities Provide comprehensive care to patients with various medical and surgical conditions. Manage telemetry and cardiac monitoring. Conduct wound care and post-operative monitoring. Perform IV insertion and central line management. Coordinate care with interdisciplinary teams. Develop discharge plans and educate patients, particularly on renal and fluid management. Qualifications Required: BLS certification Competence in Basic Cardiac Rhythm (EKG competency required) Trach care, chest tube management, PIV starts, glucommander, insulin and heparin drips Strong clinical assessment skills suitable for a Level 1 Trauma Hospital Preferred: ACLS certification Medical-surgical or Nephrology nursing certification Job Type Travel PEL/VIP Job ID . Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 40.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
