Cross Country Nurses is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Alexandria, Louisiana.

Job Summary:
Medical Surgical Floor Registered Nurse (RN) position located in a healthcare facility. This role involves providing routine and complex nursing care within a Med Surg unit, practicing independently, and demonstrating awareness of all relevant aspects of patient care. The position requires flexibility to float across similar clinical settings, with a focus on maintaining patient safety and fostering positive patient outcomes.
Job Details:
Schedule: Days, 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week guaranteed.
Required Qualifications: Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred; one year of experience in a related nursing specialty preferred; BLS certification via AHA required; RN license in the state of employment or a current compact license.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience in Medical Surgical Nursing preferred.
Float: Float rotation may be required.
Additional Information: The nurse will assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate care for assigned patients. Responsibilities include administering medications and treatments, monitoring patient responses, documenting care, and providing patient and family education. The position involves managing diverse patient needs within the scope of nursing practice and applying clinical protocols as appropriate.
