Wellspring Nurse Source is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Fishersville, Virginia. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Med Surg Discipline: RN Start Date: 11/16/2026 Duration: 26 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse (RN) Position Overview We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team within a dynamic medical/surgical unit. This position focuses on being at the forefront of innovations in nursing practice and technology. Our ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and will contribute to our mission of enhancing patient care through new technologies and nursing models. Key Responsibilities Provide high-quality care in a medical/surgical setting with patient ratios of 1:6. Participate in self-scheduling with assigned groups, rotating every scheduling period. Float to different areas as needed to cover staffing requirements. Must be available to work holiday rotations, including one summer and one winter holiday. Actively engage in training sessions and continue professional development. Shift and Schedule Night shift: 3x12 hours (19:00 - 07:00). Requirement to work every other weekend (EOW). Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience required. BLS certification is mandatory. First-time travelers are welcomed. Local candidates residing within a 50-mile radius are not accepted. Onboarding Process On the first day, the Registered Nurse will complete a drug screening at Employee Health, followed by attending a General Nursing Orientation (GNO). The first scheduled shift will commence the following Tuesday. Unit Information This role will be in a 32-bed medical/surgical unit that emphasizes innovative practices and the adoption of new technologies. Team members are expected to excel in adapting to new equipment and methodologies. Wellspring Nurse Source Job ID .
