Job Summary
Medical Surgical Floor Nurse - Med/Surg The organization is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse with a specialty in Medical Surgical care. This position involves providing high-quality nursing care to patients on the medical-surgical unit, including assessment, planning, and documentation of patient care, with a focus on individualized treatment and safety.
Job Details
Position involves providing nursing care to Med/Surg patients, including assessment, documentation, and evaluation.
Required qualifications include a two-year degree in nursing or equivalent, Wisconsin Registered Nursing license, BLS certification, and ACLS certification within six months of hire. PALS is encouraged.
Schedule: Day shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
The role requires excellent clinical skills, problem-solving abilities, and proficiency with computer systems.
Responsibilities include responding to life-threatening situations, administering medication including intravenous therapy, monitoring patient conditions, and initiating patient/family education plans.
Ability to work independently within departmental policies, collaborate with healthcare team members, and maintain a safe environment is essential.
Candidates must demonstrate exceptional accuracy and attention to detail, with physical ability to perform active duties such as lifting up to 50 pounds and reaching.
