Job Summary
Medical Surgical Floor Nurse Location: Not Specified. This role involves providing comprehensive nursing care to a diverse patient population within a medical surgical unit. The position requires adherence to unit-specific protocols and collaboration with healthcare team members to ensure quality patient outcomes.
Job Details
Required Qualifications:
BLS certification (AHA), NIHSS certification, license to practice, minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, and valid driver's license.
Specialty: Medical Surgical Floor (MS).
Schedule: Night shifts, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
Additional Responsibilities: Strong medications management skills for a variety of patient conditions; floating to assist other units as needed; participating in unit orientation, which includes tours, policy discussions, and medictech training.
Experience & Skills: Candidates must have a strong med-surg nursing background due to the variety of patients including those with conditions such as CP, CHF, pneumonia, post-op surgery, and pediatric patients.
Schedule & Hours: Night shifts from approximately 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM, with additional shifts potentially available and flexible scheduling options discussed with management.
Note: Floating is required; scrubs provided, and orientation will be conducted with the manager.
