Join a patient-centered home health team as a Travel Registered Nurse (RN) serving Luzerne and Lackawanna County, Pennsylvania. This 13-week nursing contract offers $2,120-$2,230 in weekly estimated pay, mileage reimbursement, and the opportunity to provide skilled nursing care in patients’ homes throughout the Wyoming Valley.

Hours: 40 hours per weekn
Additional Coverage: 1-2 nights of on-call coverage per week and 1 weekend per monthn
Travel: Mileage reimbursement is available between patient visitsn
Home Health Registered Nurse Requirements
n Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Pennsylvanian
At least 1 year of professional nursing experience; previous home health nursing experience is strongly preferredn
Associate degree in nursing or highern
Current CPR certificationn
Strong patient assessment, clinical judgment, organization, and patient education skillsn
Ability to work independently in patient homes and travel throughout the assigned Luzerne and Lackawanna County service arean
Professional navy-blue scrubs requiredn
Home Health RN Responsibilities
n Perform start-of-care, resumption-of-care, recertification, evaluation, and discharge visitsn
Complete comprehensive nursing assessments and develop individualized plans of caren
Provide wound care, Foley catheter care, IV therapy, and other skilled nursing interventionsn
Support patients with chronic disease management and changes in health statusn
Educate patients and caregivers on medications, treatment plans, symptom management, and safe care at homen
Monitor patient progress and communicate clinically significant findings to the appropriate home health care teamn
Document care accurately and ensure timely completion of required clinical recordsn
Coordinate services and promote continuity of care across the home health teamn
Respond to scheduled on-call needs and weekend coverage requirementsn
