Long-Term Care RN Job Details
n Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,120–$2,230n
Healthcare Setting: Long-term care and skilled nursingn
Schedule: Part-time evenings; 2 or 3 eight-hour shifts per weekn
Weekend Requirement: Every other weekendn
Holiday Requirement: Holidays as neededn
Shift Duration: 8-hour evening shiftsn
Contract Duration: Approximately 18 weeksn

Registered Nurse Supervisor Requirements
n Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursingn
Current New York State Registered Professional Nurse licensen
At least 1 year of nursing experience in a long-term care or skilled nursing settingn
Previous RN supervisor or clinical leadership experience overseeing multiple nursing unitsn
Current Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or RQIn
Ability to obtain CPI certification within 90 days of hiren
Working knowledge of New York State Department of Health requirementsn
Strong leadership, communication, organization, analytical, and interpersonal skillsn
Ability to collaborate effectively with medical staff, department leaders, ancillary services, residents, and familiesn
Computer literacy and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced long-term care environmentn
RN Supervisor Responsibilities
n Oversee the daily operation of nursing units during assigned evening shifts.n
Provide clinical supervision, guidance, and support to nursing staff across multiple units.n
Promote safe, high-quality resident care through staff teaching, coaching, and role modeling.n
Communicate identified or potential unit concerns to nursing leadership and collaborate on appropriate solutions.n
Make sound administrative and clinical decisions within the scope of responsibility when senior leadership is unavailable.n
Support effective teamwork and maintain a professional, respectful, and resident-centered care environment.n
Demonstrate composure and sound judgment when managing stressful situations, competing priorities, and time-sensitive issues.n
Maintain compliance with established policies, procedures, regulatory expectations, and safety standards.n
Promote resident dignity, respect, well-being, and positive relationships through compassionate nursing leadership.n
