Job Summary
Medical Surgical Floor Nurse - Wausau, WI. This position involves providing specialized nursing care within the inpatient Palliative Care unit. The role requires delivering compassionate, evidence-based care to patients experiencing serious illnesses, supporting comfort and quality of life in a busy hospital environment.
Job Details
Certifications, Education, and Experience: WI RN license, AHA or ARC BLS certification, Associate Degree or Certificate. Minimum 1 year of inpatient palliative care experience preferred; 2 years of Medical Surgical experience required. Experience in Palliative Care or hospice is helpful.
Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, 48 hours per week.
Responsibilities include caring for Med/Surg patients in a 10-bed unit with a staff ratio of 2 RNs and 1 CNA per 10 patients.
Charting experience with Epic electronic health record system required.
May work in other inpatient units as needed.
The position is available from 11/02/2026 to 01/30/2027.
Float: Float rotation may be required.
